2016 was phenomenal year for Belize’s Investment & Trade Ministry says Tracy Panton

By BBN Staff: At today’s budget presentation, Minister with responsibility for Investment, Trade and Commerce, Tracy Taegar Panton said that 2016 was a phenomenal year in her Ministry.

Panton stated that her Ministry promoted investment and completed many projects successfully that were suggested by the public sector.

Panton also said that her Ministry boasts a total of $587 million in completed investment projects that created about 3,800 jobs for Belizeans.

“Industries in Belize are expected to make major strides for the 2017-2018 fiscal year. Six major project proposals totaling $1.5 billion will be proposed for the next fiscal year which will yield some 3,100 jobs for Belizeans for the New Year,” the Minister told Parliament.
