By BBN Staff: A police corporal was shot by his son by accident last night in Belize City.

The victim has been identified as Police Corporal Daniel Lawrence.

According to reports, Lawrence was sleeping when he son shot him on the chest.

The incident happened around 9pm and has been labeled as an accidental shooting by a minor.

The police corporal is now at the KHMH in a stable condition.
