By BBN Staff: World Immunization week is being observed from the 24^th to the 30^th of April 2017.

The observation of the week aims to raise awareness about the critical importance of full immunization throughout life and its role in achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

The theme for this year is “Vaccines Work”. Vaccines have prevented at least 10 million deaths between the years 2010 and 2015.

The Ministry of Health will carry out extra vaccination campaigns including health sessions in schools, industrial and construction sites, and some tourist destination centers this week.

A mini health fair will be held on Wednesday, April 26 at the Dangriga Polyclinic.
