Caye Caulker police seek man wanted on drug charges

By BBN Staff : According to police reports, on Wednesday, September 20th around 10 AM, while on Calle Del Sol Street, Caye Caulker, police attempted to stop and search a 22-year-old  man of Caye Caulker Village, who was on a bicycle. The man had a black plastic bag in his hand.

However, he tried to evade the police and as a result police grabbed his bicycle handle which caused him to fall.

He got up and ran away leaving the bag behind.

The bag was retrieved which contained two shoe boxes with cannabis amounting to 674 grams.

Police are seeking this man pending charges for the offence of “drug trafficking.”
