By BBN Staff: Prime Minister Dean Barrow is currently in Washington, D.C., attending official meetings.
Yesterday, Barrow met briefly with Mauricio Silva, Executive Director of the Central American Constituency at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and Elvira Mendez, Junior Counsellor for Belize to receive an update on the Corporate IDB matters.
Barrow also attended a courtesy meeting with Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of American States H.E. Nestor Mendez and Belize’s Ambassador to the United States of America H.E. Daniel Gutierrez.
Barrow and the Governor of Central Bank of Belize H.E. Joy Grant also met with the President of the Caribbean Development Bank Dr. William Warren Smith yesterday.
Barrow left Belize this past Monday to attend these official meetings including a meeting with OPEC Fund for International Development for the new Haulover Bridge Project.
Barrow is scheduled to return to Belize on Sunday, October 15, 2017.
