Pitts and Vega still haven’t returned tax payers money

Posted: Friday, October 27, 2017. 10:18 am CST.

BBN Staff:  The Attorney General has given Andre Vega and Sharon Pitts up until October 31 of last year to return $400,000 they had received through a questionable land transaction from the Ministry of Lands.

BBN understands that Vega and Pitts have not yet returned those monies.

We also understand that the Attorney General’s Ministry has filed a claim in the Supreme Court to recover the funds.

However, December will mark one year since the suit has been filed but has not been called to trial.

We understand that the matter is before embattled Chief Justice Kenneth Benjamin.

As we understand it, all indications are that he will set a date for trial by January 2018.
