By BBN Staff: Today the Belize Cycling Federation held an election at the UWI open campus in Belize City to select its executive members.
A total of 137 registered members of the cycling federation turned out to cast their vote at 3 p.m.
In the end, a slate headed by the presidential candidate, Orson Butler, emerged victorious with 80 votes compared to a slate by Alexi Ordonez which received 56 votes.
There was only one spoilt ballot.
Butler will be joined by former president Dion Leslie who will now serve as vice president.
Perry Gibson will serve as treasurer
and Pheona Staine as secretary.
They will be joined by committee members, Ronald Sutherland, Leroy Cassasola and Edison Usher.
This new executive will serve until 2022
