Aggravated burglary on University Boulevard

BBN Staff: Belize City cops are investigating a case of aggravated burglary which occurred this morning.

The complainant, a 24-year-old legal assistant, told police that at around 3 a.m. today she was inside her home on University Boulevard when she heard strange noises coming from her living room.

She got out of her bedroom to take a look when she saw four masked black men inside her home.

The men reportedly tied her up and ransacked her home.

Before leaving they stole an assortment of electronics, jewelry and two firearms.

Additionally, the men made off with a vehicle that was left in the care of their victim.

For security purposes, police have not released the name of the victims.

While investigations remain open, police have no tangible leads at this point.
