Shipyard man charged for ‘tampering’ with firearm

BBN Staff: Police have arrested and charged Abram Friesen, 24, for tampering with a firearm.

According to reports, Friesen was at his home at Camp 23 Shipyard when police conducted a search at his home.

Police found a .223 semi-automatic (assault type) rifle, Aero Precision brand issued in Belmopan city.

The license was valid until November 29, 2018.

The gun had an adopted scope affixed for which he could not produce an authorization from the Commissioner of Police.

Therefore, Friesen was charged for tampering with a firearm without the authorization of the Commissioner of Police.
