Police investigating murder of victim found at Cahal Pech

Staff: Yesterday morning around 8:30, police went to Plaza E at the Cahal Pech archeological site where site visitors found the body of a young man.  

The victim was identified as Bobby Garcia, 19. 

Garcia was observed with multiple wounds to his body. 

Police investigations revealed that Garcia left home about 7:00 p.m., on October 6, en route to the park.  

Garcia was transported to the San Ignacio Town Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  

A police investigation continues.
