By BBN Staff: The National Institute of Culture and History (NICH) in partnership with the Corozal House of Culture, and The Ministry of Education are hosting an annual International Archaeology Day in Corozal on Friday, October 19th.
Debora Wilkes, the coordinator at the Corozal House of Culture, said that “they are more than delighted to partner with their sister institute- the Institute of Archaeology, to showcase an array of Maya Tools and Utensils at the event.
Some of the exhibits include the following: Mayan crafts for rituals, utensils used daily, obsidian, jade, cherts and flints, grinding stone, stone tools, textiles, and much more.
The exhibit is open to the general public from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m at the Corozal House of Culture.
