Senior officer reportedly involved in hit and run

y BBN Staff:According to reports, Commander of Eastern Division Region One, Sr. Supt. Howell Gillett was involved in a hit and run accident this morning.

Gillett was reportedly driving his black Toyota Hilux and hit a Wingle pickup truck, which was parked on the side of the road in Camalote village, Cayo.

The incident reportedly occurred around 2:30 a.m. and Gillett allegedly failed to stop when he hit the other vehicle.

People at the scene reportedly chased down the Hilux to Gillett’s residence.

Police investigations continue.
