By BBN Staff : Thousands of Belizeans across the country are preparing to attend the National Agriculture and Trade Show Fair (Agric Fair) this weekend.

This year, the event is being held under the theme “Innovations in Technology: Driving a Climate Resilient and Competitive Agriculture and Food Sector.”

The weekend-long fair kicks off tomorrow in Belmopan City. The event will commence with a Farmers Forum along with the official opening ceremonies.

On Saturday, April 27, 2019, the show opens to the general public with a display of agriculture gardens, nurseries, crops and the opening of a petting zoo.

The rodeo arena will open at 11:30 am on Saturday.

Attendees will enjoy great discounts offered by Belizean businesses participating in the fair.

With its origins dating all the way back to 1937, the first official “National Agriculture Show” was held in 1970 and took a family-oriented approach to local producers who showcased their products to the public.

In 2013, the Show Grounds stalls and bathroom facilities received a major infrastructure upgrade.
