Ambassador of Music donates Saxophone

By BBN Staff: H.E. Shyne Barrow gave ACC 1st form student Eanne Daley a saxophone at yesterday’s PeaceWork scholarship ceremony.

Ambassador Barrow is currently working with the Ministry of Education, PeaceWork and Stevie Wonder Saxophonist Ryan Kilgore to bring instruments and technical training to all schools throughout Belize.

PeaceWork has been giving $80,000 in education scholarships every year to students in need. The Kilgore Music Foundation donates instruments and technical training to urban areas.

During Ambassador Barrow’s closing remarks, he asked who would like to learn to play the saxophone and that’s when Eanne Daly raised his hand and Barrow gifted him with the saxophone much to the young musician’s surprise.

Over the years, the Office of the Music Ambassador has donated instruments to several schools throughout the country. Barrow says he will continue distributing instruments to schools in the coming school year.
