Flash flood reported in Benque Viejo del Carmen

By BBN Staff:  BBN has received reports of flash floods in Succotz and Benque Viejo del Carmen.

According to reports, officials from the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) have responded since 4:00 a.m. today in the affected areas.

Several homes along the highway were flooded and the EL Calvario church was also affected.

The church’s sound system was inside of the church during the flash flood and is reportedly damaged.

Drivers are advised to exercise extreme caution when entering Succotz.
