Elderly mental health patient found in bus terminal to be placed in mental hospital

By BBN Staff: The elderly woman that was found at the Corozal bus terminal yesterday is now in Orange Walk.

She was identified as Antolina Chan, a mental health patient from San Ignacio.

Health professionals in Cayo and Orange Walk are working together to bring her home.

BBN, however, has been informed that once she is returned to Cayo, Chan will be placed in the Palm Centre psychiatric facility since her immediate relatives are unable to care for her.
