Valley of Peace farmers block road in protest

By BBN Staff: This morning around 2:00 a.m. farmers from Valley of Peace were blocking the road leading to their farms in protest.

Authorities were called to the location where since yesterday, the farmers united to protest the selling of land allegedly being done by political operatives working in conjunction with staff members in the Ministry of Natural Resources.

The farmers say that they have documents for the land and have been working the lands for a long time now and that now, a local company operating in the Valley of Peace area is bulldozing the area and has blocked off water.

Journalist Louis Wade of Plus TV is currently on the scene and his live video shows that the farm belonging to the farmers have been blocked off so they are not able to pass to get any water.

The video shows the access road blocked with heavy machinery equipment.
