Posted: Wednesday, March 18, 2020. 2:13 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: The Embassy of Belize in Washington D.C. is calling on Belizean students studying in the United States to get in touch with the embassy regarding updates on coronavirus (COVID-19) advisories.

The embassy issued a notice this morning asking all Belizean students in the US to register with the embassy by emailing their name, contact information, and study information to [email protected]. The embassy also said that students can call 202-332-9636 in case of an emergency.

The US recently announced that it has begun taking more aggressive measures including closing their borders with Canada, in an attempt to combat the COVID-19 outbreak.
