Four samples return negative; still no confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Belize

By BBN Staff: This morning, the Office of Director of Health Services issued a statement informing that a further 4 samples have been processed at the Central Medical Laboratory last night, all which tested negative for Covid-19. These samples were processed through the night.

The Ministry of Health continues to monitor the situation across the country and informs that there are currently no confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Belize.

“Despite our calls and explanations to all those returning from abroad to self isolate, to not be out in public and minimize exposure to others – this is still not happening! Please all, we have a collective responsibility and while we may think that this is a trivial matter, the very same persons closer to us may very well be the first ones affected,” the statement said.

The Director also calls on everyone to be supportive of all health care workers that are going beyond their call of duty in this.
