James Brodie temporarily closes downtown branch due to employees contact with COVID-19 patient

Posted: Sunday, April 12, 2020. 10:27 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: A press release issued a short while ago from James Brodie & Company Limited announced that the Company is closing its downtown branch on Albert Street until April 20th 2020.

This decision was taken as the Company has been reliably informed recently that two of their employees from the Downtown branch “were in contact with a previously identified patient who was tested positive for COVID-19”.

According to the Company, these two (2) employees were tested, placed in quarantine and are currently awaiting their results, and that the safety of the “Brodies family and customers” remains the Company’s highest priority.

The release states that during the period that they are closed they “will seek guidance from the Ministry of Health to professionally sanitize the entire store and warehouse” as a safeguard for both staff and customers.

The Company advised that prescriptions normally handled by the Company’s downtown pharmacy can be handled at the pharmacy at the store on the Phillip Goldson Highway.
