Some state authorities are now implementing strict orders to close businesses and beaches.
Florida’s record has now surpassed New York’s record of 12,847 new cases on April 10.
The authorities have ordered bars to close.
Beach resorts and theme parks reopened on Saturday.
US news reports that some campaign rallies have also been held without the enforcement of masks and social distancing.
