Dr. Mendez called for a U.S.-style Center for Disease Control to tackle key diseases ravaging the population.
Meanwhile, Cayo Northeast representative Landy Habet said universal primary health care for all is the party’s goal, by 2025, in an integrated national system.
Habet promised targeting healthy lifestyles for children and adults, more medicines for the population and putting health of the population at the center of a revitalized Belize.
