Ministry of Health calls on public to refrain from social events

By BBN Staff: The number of cases of COVID-19 continue to increase in Belize.

 Today, the Ministry of Health identified 42 new cases of the virus.

The Ministry urged the public to refrain from social events and social gatherings.

The Ministry says that it is deeply troubled by the ongoing reports of social gatherings across the country.

“We are also deeply troubled by the ongoing reports of social gathering and events across the country that involve members who aren’t from the same household and this include reports of those who are positive still being out in public and attending social events,” the Ministry stated.

The Ministry calls on all Belizeans to adhere to the protocols and take all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the virus.

“We can only flatten any curve if WE ALL do our part and we thank all those who to do theirs,” the Ministry expressed.
