Area representative Oscar Requena avoids injury in traffic accident

By Aaron Humes: The social media page for the People’s United Party in the Toledo District reports that area representative for Toledo West Oscar Requena is “safe and sound” after what was described as a minor road accident on Sunday night.

According to Requena’s camp, whom we spoke with this morning, he had been parked on the roadside on the Southern Highway near its junction with the San Antonio Road in the village of Dump near Big Falls.

Requena was meeting with some people when two men believed to be under the influence of alcohol crashed into Requena’s vehicle, but no one was hurt.

The matter is with police and Requena’s campaign told us this morning that he has made a statement and would limit further comment as the police continue their investigations.
