BREAKING: John Briceño to name 18 Ministers, seven Ministers of State

By Aaron Humes: Based on a leaked document provided to Breaking Belize News by government sources, the following is the list of members of the Cabinet that are to be appointed. The appointments are not legal until they are gazetted into law.

John Briceño: Prime Minister, Finance, Economic Development & Investment
Ministers of State: Mike Espat and Christopher Coye

Cordel Hyde: DPM, Natural Resources, Petroleum & Mining
Minister of State: Ramiro Ramirez

Jose Abelardo Mai: Agriculture, Food Security, & Enterprise

Rodwell Ferguson: Public Utilities & Logistics

Julius Espat: (Works), Infrastructure Development & Housing

Francis Fonseca: Education, Culture, Science & Technology

Minister of State: Louis Zabaneh

Florencio Marin, Jr.: National Defence & Border Security

Minister of State: Oscar Mira

Oscar Requeña: Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour & Local Government

Dolores Balderamos Garcia: Human Development, Families & Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs

Minister of State: Gilroy Usher

Kareem Musa: Home Affairs & New Growth Industries

Orlando “Landy” Habet: Sustainable Development, Climate Change & Disaster Risk Management

Kevin Bernard: Youth, Sports & E-Governance

Michel Chebat: Health & Wellness

Anthony Mahler: Tourism & Diaspora Relations

Andre Perez: The Blue Economy & Civil Aviation

Henry Charles Usher: Public Service, Constitutional & Political Reform

Eamon Courtenay: Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade & Immigration

Minister of State: Ramon Cervantes

Magali Marin Young SC: Attorney General

Ambassador Stuart Leslie: Cabinet Secretary & Chief of Staff

Note that as neither Courtenay nor Marin Young are elected in the House, the former must be appointed as a Senator as he previously was and the latter likely to be so appointed as well.
