By BBN Staff: The Office of the Director of Health Services (DHS) informed today that of the 385 samples processed today, 119 new cases of COVID-19 were identified.

This is a positivity rate of 30.9% for today.

The geographic distribution is as follows:

Corozal – 18 (6 Town, 2 Santa Clara, 2 Paraiso, 1 Louisville, 1 Ranchito, 1 San Antonio, 1 Chunox, 2 from Springfield CY, 1 from OW Town, 1 from Shipyard)

Orange Walk – 26 (13 Town, 4 San Jose, 2 Carmelita, 2 San Lazaro,1 San Jose Palmar, 1 Trial Farm , 1 Fireburn, 1 Shipyard and 1 from Corozal Town

Belize – 50 (26 City, 12 Kolbe, 4 Ladyville , 2 Lords Bank, 1 San Pedro, 1 San Hill, 1 St Paul’s Bank, 1 Mullins River, 1 from Corozal Town, 1 from Concepcion CZ)

Cayo – 4 (2 Belmopan, 1 Cotton Tree, 1 from Belize City)

Stann Creek – 7 (1 Maya King, 2 from Bell Vista TOL, 2 from Trio TOL, 1 from San Jose TOL, 1 from San Lazaro OW)

Toledo – 14 (6 Punta Gorda, 3 San Marcos, 2 Eldridgeville, 1 Silver Creek, 1 Hopeville, 1 Big Falls)

There are 26 recoveries today with 44.3% of cases remaining active.

The public is urged to adhere to all precautionary measures.
