Taiwan wishes Prime Minister Briceño a speedy recovery from COVID-19

By BBN Staff: The Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) is wishing Prime Minister John Briceno a speedy recovery, following his positive COVID-19 test yesterday.

On its Ministry of Affairs’ official Twitter page, Taiwan said “Our most sincere & heartfelt wishes to @JohnBricenoBZE for a rapid recovery & return to full health.”

The message continued to say that there is no doubt Briceño will overcome this challenge with “flying colors.”

The government Press Office issued an official statement yesterday, confirming that Briceño, 60, had tested positive for COVID-19 and would be in isolation for the next two weeks.

Cabinet Secretary Stuart Leslie also tested positive yesterday. No official word has been given on how this diagnosis will affect the Cabinet meeting which was scheduled for today.
