Foreign Affairs Minister meets with UN Resident Coordinator for Belize

By BBN Staff: Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Immigration, Eamon Courtenay held a meeting with the United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator for Belize, Birgit Gerstenberg.

The meeting explored a range of avenues through which the national UN Country Team and the Government of Belize can cooperate to bolster the country’s recovery and long-term strategy for sustainable development.

Courtenay underscored the administration’s ambitious agenda, as well as the plethora of needs of the vulnerable in Belize in these unprecedented times.

He welcomed the UN’s support to help fulfill these objectives with deliberate speed.

Accompanying Courtenay was Minister of State, Ramon Cervantes, and CEO of the Ministry, Amalia Mai.
