Social Security Board names new Directors, Investment Committee

By Aaron Humes: The Social Security Board has an entirely new Board of Directors and Investment Committee.

Appointed as chair is Nigeli Sosa. Completing the Government’s membership is Emogene Habet Alcoser, Wendy Castillo, Michael Hyde and Michael Coye.

Representatives of employers and trade unions are Lourdes Smith and Marcelo Blake, and Lorelei Westby and Patrick Balan, respectively.

The four-member Investment Committee has separate and different membership. The Chair is Reynaldo Magana and other members are Vanessa Briceno, Emile Mena and Brian Duncan.

The Board recently had to forego planned adjustments to contributions due to the economic situation.
