By BBN Staff: The COVID-19 pandemic continues to claim Belizean lives, with the latest report from the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) noting three new deaths related to the virus.

The Ministry’s latest COVID-19 update showed that the three latest deaths bring the national total to 274, bringing it ever closer to the 300 mark.

Apart from the increase in the national total, the country’s fatality rate went up to 2.42.

The latest deaths also mean that 20 people have lost their lives from COVID-19 since January 1, 2021.
