By Aaron Humes: Police have held three persons in Orange Walk Town following a robbery of a contractor working at a pre-school.

ACP Joseph Myvett, Head of the National Crimes Investigation Branch, said, “Police were called to the Louisiana Government Pre-school in Orange Walk Town where they met and spoke to one Wilber Vega who was doing some contract work on the building. And sometime just around 11:00 a.m. while he was alone inside one of the classrooms, he was approached by two [dark-skinned men] wearing masks, one of whom is believed to have been armed with a handgun, who then approached him, and he was hit with that handgun and he was relieved of his personal belongings, including his wallet containing an undisclosed amount of money.”

Police investigations continue.
