Weather: Cold front coming in ends week of fair weather

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service says mainly fair conditions prevailing today, then the passage of a cold front tomorrow will bring some changes to our weather.

The 24-hour forecast calls for mostly sunny skies today with only isolated showers and the chance of an inland afternoon or evening thunderstorms developing. Tonight, and tomorrow, skies will be cloudy along with an increase in shower activity associated with the passage of a cold front.

Winds are from the east to southeast at 15 to 25 knots; sea state is moderate to rough. A small craft warning remains in effect for gusty winds and rough seas.

High temperatures are 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 94 degrees over inland areas; and 85 degrees in the hills. Tonight, temperatures fall to 73 degrees along the coast; 66 degrees in the interior; and 63 degrees in the hills.

Tides will be low at 8:12 a.m. and 9:42 p.m. and high at 2:03 p.m. The Sun rose at 6:17 a.m. and will set at five minutes to six this evening.

The extended outlook through Friday is for cloudy skies with some showers, periods of rain and few thunderstorms developing over most areas.
