Orange Walk man dies of COVID-19; six new cases countrywide going into the weekend

By Aaron Humes: An Orange Walk man is the 315th confirmed death from COVID-19, according to the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

This makes 207 men dead against 108 women since the disease came to Belize eleven months ago.

Six new cases were confirmed from 467 tests on 465 different persons for a positivity rate of 1.29 percent.

10 persons have been reported recovered and 126 are under investigation.

Two persons remain actively hospitalized and one is in intensive care.

The daily number of active cases countrywide is now at 88 – 39 women and 49 men.
