BREAKING: Popular Georgeville Taxi driver dead, 2 others seriously injured in traffic accident on George Price Highway

By BBN Staff: A popular taxi driver from Georgeville in the Cayo District is dead after a collision occurred between the white car he was driving and a Ford pickup.

The taxi driver has been identified as 44 year old Lionel Chavarria, popularly known as ‘Chavo’ in taxi circles.

Chavarria was on his way back to his home in Georgeville when the white pickup collided into the car that Chavarria was driving.

The accident occurred on the George Price Highway in front of Redmond’s farm located between Unitedville and Georgeville in the Cayo District. The white pickup truck was allegedly in Chavarria’s lane when the accident occurred.

Chavarria’s two (2) stepsons were also injured in the accident and were rushed to the Western Regional Hospital.

Police are currently on the scene.
