Weather: Seasonal conditions continue – hot, dry, windy

By Aaron Humes: The famous “March breeze” and accompanying hot temperatures remain in place, according to the National Meteorological Service.

Skies continue to be sunny in the daytime, clear to partly cloudy tonight and not a drop of rain in sight for at least the next 24 hours.

High temperatures are 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 95 degrees inland and 84 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight, temperatures will reach 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 73 degrees over the interior and 68 in the higher elevations.

Winds are from the east to southeast at 15 to 25 knots and gusty; sea state is rough. A small craft warning is in effect for gusty winds and rough seas.

High tide occurs at 8:47 AM this morning and 8:37 PM tonight and low tide is at 2:24 PM this afternoon. The Sun sets at 6:04 this evening.

Current weather conditions are expected to prevail through at least Saturday.
