A relatively moist northeasterly airflow is setting in over our area. Over the next 24 hours, it will be sunny with a few cloudy spells today along with isolated showers. Skies will become cloudy at times tonight. A few showers will develop over northern areas this evening, and then a few showers and possible isolated thunderstorms will develop near coastal areas late tonight.
High temperatures today: 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 96 degrees inland and 79 in the hills. Tonight, it will be a chilly 74 degrees along the coast; 68 degrees inland and 62 in the hills.
Winds are from the northeast at 5 to 15 knots; sea state is choppy.
Low tide was at 6:10 a.m. this morning, followed by a high tide at 12:10 p.m. this afternoon and another low at 7:39 p.m. this evening.
The Sun sets at 6:05 p.m. this evening and rises Friday morning at 5:46 a.m.
The extended outlook for Friday and Friday night is for some showers and isolated thunderstorms developing over most areas during the day and then mostly over southern areas during the night.
