By Zoila Palma: While the members of the Public Service Union (PSU) and the Belize National Teachers Union (BNTU) continue their daily protest activities against the salary cut, nurses and health personnel have called out to their members to join in a demonstration tomorrow.
The nurses and health care workers will hold a demonstration at Independence Plaza on Thursday beginning from 9 a.m.
A leaked Whatsapp message urges all healthcare workers to attend.
“We must now come together in unity and show our government and nation that we demand change. Change that will be for the betterment for all citizens. For too long nurses have been hiding in the woodworks,” the message said.
The health personnel then called on all to stand for ‘our nation’.
