Belize Weather: Mild day turns to rainy night

By Aaron Humes: Relatively moist and unstable conditions continue according to the National Meteorological Service, resulting in cloudy skies and isolated showers and thunderstorms, mostly inland. Tonight, skies will be cloudy with increasing showers and rain over most areas.

Flooding is possible over low-lying areas.

High temperatures are 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 92 degrees inland and 82 degrees in the hills.  Tonight’s temperatures are 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 75 inland and 68 in the hills.

Winds are easterly to southeasterly at 10 to 20 knots and gusty; sea conditions are moderate to rough. A small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds at times.

High tide is at 2:46 this afternoon followed by a low tide at 9:54 this evening. The sun goes down at 6:29 this evening and rises Friday morning at 5:18.

Friday will see a few showers and isolated thunderstorms, decreasing later.
