By Benjamin Flowers: More than 50,000 Belizeans have been fully vaccinated against COVId-19 and the Government of Belize’s national vaccination rollout continues.

The latest vaccination report from the Ministry of Health and Wellness said that as of Friday, July 30, 51,220 Belizeans had been fully vaccinated (received two vaccine doses), with 5,132 people receiving their shots that day.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated people (received at least one shot) has gone up to 132,361. The data includes those who received the Astrazeneca and Sinopharm vaccines.

The Government of Belize is aiming to vaccinate at least 80 percent of the total over 18 population. All Belizeans 18 years and over can arrange a vaccination appointment by going to https://vrsa.health.gov.bz/.

Vaccinated persons are still required by law to wear face masks in public, social distance, and abide by all other regulations in place to prevent the spread of the virus.
