Derricia Castillo Salazar accused of wounding another woman in San Pedro, out on bail

By BBN Staff: Accused of wounding another woman in San Pedro, retired Belize Defence Force captain Derricia Castillo Salazar is out on bail according to the San Pedro Sun.
Castillo Salazar posted $2,000 bail at the San Pedro Magistrate Court on Tuesday. Castillo Salazar had been accused of stabbing a woman at approximately 2am on Sunday at a San Pedro hotel.

The retired BDF captain is the co-founder president of Our Circle (Belize), an organization that fights for the rights of the LGBT community.

The victim allegedly told police that Castillo Salazar stabbed her in the face

Castillo Salazar’s next court date is on October 15, 2021.
