Active COVID-19 cases near 1,150

By Benjamin Flowers: The latest COVID-19 report published today by the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) shows that active COVID infections in the country are just under 1,150.

The report shows that there are a total of 1, 146 active infections, split between 609 females and 537 males.

Health authorities also have an additional 283 suspected cases under investigation.

Hospitalizations due to the virus also remained high today, with 29 patients currently hospitalized in standard COVID-19 units in hospitals across the country, and seven patients receiving critical care in an intensive care unit (ICU).

A total of 105 new patients have managed to recover from infection, bringing the national total for recoveries up to 15,083.

There were no new deaths associated with the virus reported today.
