American national busted with unlicensed gun

By BBN Staff: Police busted an American national in Caye Caulker with an unlicensed firearm in Caye Caulker yesterday.

Officer in Caye Caulker responded to a report at the dock where they observed a 30-foot sailboat with the name MAST CONFUSION.

The 37-year-old American national was informed that the offices were going to conduct a search and when the officers searched the vessel they found a 16-gauge shotgun inside the bow of the boat.

The man could not produce a license for the firearm and is being detained at the Caye Caulker police station pending charges.
