Fire destroys houses on Ebony Street

Posted: Friday, September 10, 2021. 8:42 pm CST.

By Aaron Humes: Fire struck a compound on Ebony Street earlier tonight, leaving multiple families homeless.

Victims of the fire told reporters that it took as little as five minutes for the fire to spread and engulf as many as six residences on the property, too quickly for fire personnel on the scene to do much to save them.

No one was physically injured to our knowledge and the cause of the fire is now under investigation.

We will have more on this story as information develops.
