One held for Ninth night shooting

By Aaron Humes: Two Belize City men are spending this holiday morning in hospital and another in police custody following a shooting incident.

On Thursday night around 7:35 pm Charles Hinds Jr, 39, of Pelican Street; Sheldon Sosa, 32, of Albert Street, and others were socializing at the corner of Elston Kerr and Iguana Streets when a man wearing a red Houston Rockets jersey shirt with marking 69 at the back and black pants, came from a nearby yard and stood by a body works shop and fired several shots at them.

Charles Hinds Jr who is admitted in a critical condition In hospital was hit to the body and Sheldon Sosa, admitted in a stable condition, was shot to the right thigh.

The suspected shooter has been detained and police investigations continue.
