Belize Weather: Conditions to improve as tropical wave moves away

Posted: Saturday, September 11, 2021. 7:28 am CST.

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service says our weather condition is to gradually improve in the course of the weekend.

Skies today will be cloudy at times and partly cloudy tonight. Isolated thunderstorms and rain linger over the North and inland this morning and the south tonight and isolated activity elsewhere.

High temperatures are 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 91 degrees inland, and 82 in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 78 degrees along the coast, 73 inland, and 68 in the hills.

Winds are easterly to southeasterly at 10 to 20 knots and the sea state is moderate. A small craft caution is likely tonight for gusty winds and rough seas and there is potential for flooding in flood-prone and low-lying areas.

High tide comes up at 1:26 this afternoon and low tide at 6:59 this evening. Sunset is at 5:57 this evening and sunrise on Sunday is at 5:40.

Sunday will be mainly fair with isolated showers and thunderstorms over southern areas at night.

Our thanks to forecaster Crystal Rosalez at the Belize Weather Bureau, Ladyville.
