Dr Andre Sosa: Admissions at high point for 2021

By Aaron Humes: At the halfway point of September, according to Dr Andre Sosa of the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, the 61 admissions for COVID-19 matches all of August and the high mark since last year.

The 23-bed ward has been consistently overfill at 30 for several weeks. The quality of care is under threat among doctors and staff.

Only 19 cases have been admitted so far today, but two more persons are confirmed to have died. Dr Sosa said each death is of course a tragedy for the hospital and family.

He promised to continue keeping the nation informed of what is going on with the National referral hospital.
