Weekend sees 457 confirmed cases of COVID-19, four deaths

By Aaron Humes: The Ministry of Health and Wellness reports that in the past 72 hours (up to 1 p.m. this afternoon), some 457 Belizeans are confirmed with COVID-19, with another 378 under investigation.

With 447 persons reported recovered, there was a net increase of ten cases in the active count, an average of about three per day.

Four more persons died, for a total of 465; 48 remain hospitalized and 14 in intensive care, the numbers steady from Friday’s figures.

The number of active cases is 2,779, with a total of 24,447 confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic.
