Hopkins Village Road inaugurated

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Hopkins, which is of Belize main tourist destinations, has a better road now. To mark the road improvement of the Hopkins Village Road, three government ministries were represented at the official inauguration on Saturday, November 20, according to the Belize Tourism Board (BTB).

The Hopkins Road project paved 1.2 miles of the village road from in front of the GariMaya Gift Shop beyond the Lodge at Jaguar Reef.

The symbolic ribbon was officially cut by Minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations Anthony Mahler, Area Representative and Minister of Public Utilities, Energy, and Logistics Rodwell Ferguson, Minister of Infrastructure Development and Housing Julius Espat, and Chef Rob representing the business community.

Those present for the inauguration were entertained by the SVG Garifuna Youth Arm.
