Police find drugs, guns, and ammunition in Corozal

By BBN Staff: The Belize Police Department managed to seize several hundred pounds of marijuana, several handguns, and live ammunition in the Corozal district.

Acting on intelligence, officers searched an area in San Jomal, where they found 454.6 pounds of marijuana, three .9mm pistols along with two magazines and 16 live rounds of ammunition.

There was no one in the area at the time and the items were deposited as found property.

The items were discovered on Thursday, but the investigation into the matter is ongoing.
