San Pedro Resident charged for the shooting death of Hilberto Caliz

By BBN Staff: Police have formally charged an 18-year-old San Pedro resident in connection with the shooting death of Hilberto Caliz, 35.

Today police charged Julio Rafael Paiz with a single count of murder.

Paiz is accused of gunning down Caliz as he rode through the San Pedrito area of San Pedro town on Saturday, December 11.

Quick police response led to his detention shortly after the incident but police were withholding charges while investigators gathered evidence.

Paiz may be arraigned as early as tomorrow. We’ll be following this story.
